Puleng Technologies offers its customers a milestone (component) based roadmap to achieving automated “Business Services Management”. The various milestones will deliver composite value to both Operational and to Business divisions. This implies that our solutions add value to both the providers and consumers of Service Delivery within an Organisation. Our Roadmap comprises the following disciplines that are delivered as “best of breed” point solutions and through integration, provide a Business Services Architecture (BSA). | | | | | | | | Network Device Provisioning and Change Management Network Behaviour Analysis Traffic Flow Analysis Performance and Availability | | | | [ Back to Top ] | | | | | | | | Inventory Patch Management Software Distribution Server Provisioning and Change Management Licence Management Remote Control Pristine Restore | | | | [ Back to Top ] | | | | | | | | Centralised event correlation Server Monitoring Database, Middleware, Application Monitoring Event Data Warehousing and Trend Analysis Automated Job Scheduling Management Information Reporting | | | | [ Back to Top ] | | | | | | | | Backup and Restore Tiered Storage Architecture Hierarchical Storage Management Storage Virtualisation Storage Resource Management Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Architectures Storage Area Networks Email Archiving | | | | [ Back to Top ] | | | | | | | | Identity Management Access and Authentication Solutions Single Sign-on Audit and Vulnerability Assessment Spam and E-mail filtering Network Based Anomaly Detection | | | | [ Back to Top ] | | | | | | | | Transaction or “Line of Business” monitoring CMDB Architectures Service Catalogues Infrastructure Provisioning Service Level Management Service Desk integration | | | | [ Back to Top ] | | | | Puleng Technologies Automation Roadmap | | | The alignment of IT Infrastructure to business related priorities is an ongoing initiative within most organisations. This alignment has had a consequential impact on the monitoring of availability and performance within the aligned infrastructure. Service Delivery agreements and responsibilities are now required to reflect deliverables in terms of “Line of Business” and no longer components within the infrastructure. This implies that the monitoring of Infrastructure elements is a pre-requisite to building a Business Services Management Architecture. The progression along the Puleng Technologies Automation Roadmap will result in predictive and demonstrable Service Delivery Metrics being used to provide the demanded service and to justify the cost of operating a complex Business Infrastructure. Our roadmap is enabled through the following services provided by Puleng Technologies: - Assessment of current strategy and a resultant, component based roadmap to Business Infrastructure Automation
- Design of Infrastructure Management Solutions and an associated project plan for deployment
- Deployment and achievement of identified success criteria
- Adherence to ITIL best practices
End-to-End Infrastructure Management is a strategic journey, which must deliver very measurable value to our customers. Enterprises business applications and customer facing applications constantly change and therefore change must be facilitated, with minimum effort and maximum cost efficiency. Behind our solution construction strategy is a commitment to facilitate change. The ability to deploy certain functional, valuable components of an End-to-End Systems Management Solution as their own entity is paramount to the cost justification of this roadmap. Continuity and integration is achieved with careful planning and consideration, ensuring that no technical “Cul de Sacs” will prevent our customers’ ability to change their infrastructure in line with their business evolution. We will share responsibility with our customers in order to ensure this. The solution to this facilitation of change lies in the integral implementation of a Change and Configuration Management Database. Such a facility allows an organisation to understand the impact of a consequential change to the Infrastructure and is the hub for rapid and concise Change Management. An End to End Systems Management and Automation Solution consists of a number of individual components and disciplines that perform a valuable and essential function in their own right. These disciplines include Network Management, Server and Desktop Management Event Monitoring and Management, Transaction Performance Monitoring and Management, Storage Management, Security Management. Successful implementation of these disciplines (this integration should not be product dependant) using best practices will allow further business benefit to be discovered and delivered. This takes the form of two primary business automation opportunities, namely “Line of Business” Infrastructure Management and Automated Service Delivery Management. However, “quick wins” are the object of the automation of any discipline – the delivery of value and/or cost saving must justify each individual milestone along the Automation Roadmap. | | [ Back to Top ] | |
