Puleng views employment equity as an integral element of the company’s overall transformation initiative. We are committed to creating a truly South African company; to redress residual inequalities with regard to race, gender and disability in accordance with our Employment Equity Plan, and to accelerate the development and retention of a diverse pool of skilled employees in order to achieve equitable representation in all occupational categories and levels of employment.

Our focus is on recruiting black talent and advancing our current black professionals through skills development and mentorship programmes. Over the years, we have supported learnerships, Intern Graduate programmes and enabled numerous talented, young black professionals to move through the ranks into middle and senior management positions. While we have made great strides in the right direction, transformation in our organisation remains a top priority and an ongoing journey.

The goals of Puleng’s employment equity initiative are to continue fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce; that is, directed at eliminating employment-related disadvantages.
We achieve this by:

  • Enhancing our diversity culture - recognising, valuing and respecting differences and reflecting this in the way we work.
  • Ensuring that Puleng policies are aligned and adhere to all Company/labour legislation and laws.
  • Preventing and eliminating any discrimination in the workplace
  • Enhance skills of employees
  • To continue developing comprehensive competencies
